Learn to Carve

A perfect introduction to knife carving, no previous woodworking experience is necessary, that said even an experienced carpenter or cabinet maker would gain much from carving a spoon. We focus on carving techniques that will allow you to carve safely with confidence so you can create at home too. Spoon carving is great because the tools are cheap and you don’t need a workshop or a workbench, you can even do it in your own front room. These classes are designed to provide you with a strong foundation to create all sorts of carved objects.

The course is eight hours on a Sunday starting at 10:00 (prompt!) running to 18:00. You will learn all the skills needed to turn a bit of branch or log into a beautiful functional spoon using axes and knives.

All my Classes are run at my Stepney City Farm workshop (click on the link for directions), it’s just a bit more than 5 min walk from Stepney Green Underground.
